NOTES ON THE LIST OF COMPETITORS:
Defending champion Johan Kok looks to make history at this year’s Championship by being the first to win the championship three times. This year Kok has recorded a first place finish in the Yamaha Facility Challenge and is coming off a T-15 performance at the Tennessee State Open. Kok will have some stiff competition as Loren Personett hopes to do the same. Personett is coming off a runner-up performance where he lost in a four-hole playoff at Senior State Open earlier this month. The 2021 Tennessee PGA Professional Champion, Personett, will look to get back in the winners circle this week. Josh Bevell, PGA will look to build on his T-4 performance at the Tennessee State Open and carry over that momentum this week. Past Champions Ryan Botts, PGA and Casey Flenniken, PGA will also be in this year’s field.
On the Senior Professional side, Jared Melson, PGA will try to defend his title to claim his third Players Championship. Past Champion Audie Johnson, PGA will look to play spoiler this year to notch his third Players Championship title. Also in this year’s field is Bill Breen, PGA. Breen is coming off a four-hole playoff victory at the Senior State Open in Crossville earlier this month and will look to carry that momentum into this week.
Action gets underway at 8:00 A.M. CT both tournament days with a single tee starting off No. 1 tee. After round one the field will be repaired based on scores with leaders teeing off last in the final round. A trophy presentation by the clubhouse will follow the final round of play.
