Over 115 Tennessee PGA Professionals are dedicated to making a difference through PGA HOPE. By becoming HOPE Certified, they’re giving back to the Veteran community that has sacrificed ...so much. These professionals bring camaraderie, passion, and expertise to help Veterans heal through golf.

The impact of PGA HOPE goes beyond the course—it’s about restoring confidence, rebuilding connections, and providing a sense of purpose. Every swing, every lesson, and every moment spent together creates a lasting difference in the lives of those who served. Golf isn’t just a game—it’s a path to healing.

A huge thank you to our current HOPE Certified instructors—we can’t wait to see this program continue to grow!

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Gary Toulson, PGA, of Knoxville, Tennessee, this past weekend. A dedicated and respected member of the golf community, Gary served as the Head Golf Professional at Green Meadow Country Club and spent 35 years at Cherokee Country Club before ...retiring. His leadership as Tennessee Section President (1977-1979) and his numerous accolades, including Section Professional of the Year (1975) and Teacher of the Year (1990, 1998), reflect his passion and impact on the game. He was awarded the Tennessee PGA Distinguished Career Award in 2006. His legacy will live on, and he will be greatly missed.

From expert panels and breakout sessions to special guests like PGA of ...America President Don Rea and PGA Tour member Scott Stallings, it was an unforgettable event. Back for day 2 of the 2025 Tennessee PGA Show!

Excited for another packed day of learning as we dive into panels on mental game, golf fitness, the state of college golf, and hearing from our Teachers of the Year.

It’s been an amazing event so far, and we’re grateful to be ...surrounded by so many passionate professionals dedicated to growing the game!

An incredible first day at the 2025 Tennessee PGA Show! 🎉 We had the honor of hearing from amazing speakers, including PGA of America President Don Rea, a powerhouse panel on tournament setup & competition, insights on AI & technology, merchandising trends, education & mentorship, ...and a career consultant & player engagement update. 🏌️‍♂️💡

We also took time to honor our outstanding members and were grateful to have PGA Tour Player Scott Stallings as our special guest speaker. 🙌

The energy, knowledge, and passion for the game were unmatched—can’t wait for day 2! ⛳️

This morning, 15 PGA Professionals gathered @golfhousetn for a @pgahope training led by @jplunn. They were immersed in adaptive golf strategies, learning how to heal through golf, and understanding the unique needs of Veterans.

From teaching each other using wheelchairs to simulating ...vision impairments, the experience was all about empathy and growth. Big thanks to these newly certified professionals and the 115 others in the Tennessee Section making a difference on and off the course!
