Mississippi State’s Willow Merry Earns Fourth PGA WORKS John & Tamara Lundgren Scholarship

The Tennessee PGA is proud to recognize Willow Merry, a standout student at Mississippi State University’s Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program, who has been named a four-time recipient of the PGA WORKS John & Tamara Lundgren Scholarship through the PGA of America REACH Foundation.

This prestigious scholarship is awarded annually to only 15 students across nine universities participating in the PGA WORKS John & Tamara Lundgren Scholars Program. The initiative provides diverse and talented students with the resources and support they need to pursue their education and future careers in the golf industry.

For Merry, this recognition has been both impactful and inspiring. She credits the scholarship with giving her the freedom to focus fully on her education and long-term career goals. In addition to her academic success, Merry has already made her mark as a leader. In the Spring of 2024, she served as President of the Mississippi State PGM Program, where she found pride in leading her peers, especially in serving as a role model to the nine other young women currently in the program.

Looking ahead, Merry is on track to graduate in May 2027. Her career aspirations include working at a green grass facility, where she hopes to bring her leadership, passion, and dedication to the game of golf.

The Tennessee PGA extends heartfelt congratulations to Willow Merry on this tremendous achievement. Her continued success is a testament to her hard work, commitment, and the life-changing impact of the PGA WORKS John & Tamara Lundgren Scholars Program.
