Franklin, TENN – Tennessee PGA is proud to announce that Sweetens Cove General Manager, Matt Adamski, PGA, has been named the 2024 PGA of America Private Merchandiser of the Year. This prestigious recognition follows Adamski’s 2023 honor as the Tennessee PGA Private Merchandiser of the Year, further cementing his reputation as a leader in innovation and excellence within the golf industry.
The PGA of America’s Private Merchandiser of the Year Award recognizes PGA Professionals who have demonstrated superior skills in merchandising and promoting golf apparel, accessories, and equipment at private facilities. The award highlights innovation, creativity, and excellence in retail operations.
Under Adamski’s leadership, the 290-square-foot golf shop, affectionately known as “The Shed”, at Sweetens Cove has become a destination in its own right. Far from a conventional retail space, The Shed reflects Adamski’s passion for creating meaningful connections through the game of golf. “We don’t just sell merchandise—we celebrate the spirit of golf,” Adamski explains. “Every item we offer is inspired by the game’s distinctive landmarks, legendary tournaments, and rich history, transforming it into a storyteller rather than just a logo.”
“As soon as you step on the property, you begin to understand how special Sweetens Cove is. Matt’s creativity shines through all they do. The branding that is evident throughout his merchandise, the use of a variety of logos and slogans, the array of items available, all trumped by Matt’s personal touch and charisma. It’s really no wonder why Matt is winning this award, truly deserving, “ stated TNPGA Executive Director, Clayton Hromadka.
The Tennessee PGA congratulates Matt Adamski, PGA. The recognition is a testament to the passion and dedication that make Sweetens Cove a true standout in the world of golf.
