(Memphis, TN) – The 2022 Tennessee Senior PGA Professional Championship is in the books after 36-holes at Memphis Country Club. Professionals battled for their chance to claim one of four spots in the 2022 Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac at Twin Warriors & Santa Ana Golf Clubs in Santa Ana Pueblo, NM on October 13-16, 2022.  The old style Donald Ross course at Memphis Country Club proved to be a test for the 26 competitors as only two professionals finished the 36-holes tied at 1-under par.

Loren Personett (Mount Juliet, TN) came into the second round tied for second after an opening round 70.  Personett carded a second round 69 (-1) to finish at 1-under par overall to put himself in a familiar position.  Bill Breen (Nashville, TN) carded a second round 68 (-2) with a birdie on his final hole to force a playoff for the second time this year with Personett.

Breen and Personett would start the playoff on the 205 yard par 3, 10th.  Personett hit a good one to stick to four feet to secure his first Tennessee Senior PGA Professional Championship. “I wasn’t nervous,” said Personett. “I hit a good one there earlier in the round and felt confident to do it again.”

Congratulations to our qualifiers for the 2022 Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac at Twin Warriors & Santa Ana Golf Clubs Loren Personett, Bill Breen, Bobby Cochran, and Brock Shafer.  Our alternates will be Allen Fennell, Bob Wolcott, Henrik Simonsen, and Jared Melson.

The Tennessee Senior PGA Professional Championship is a level one Rolex Senior Player of the Year points event.

A special thank you to all of the staff at Memphis Country Club for their hospitality.
