Memorial Day Weekend holds profound significance for veterans, serving as a reminder of the comrades they’ve lost in service to their country. For many, it’s a time of reflection, remembrance, and reverence. Through PGA HOPE, veterans find a supportive community where their sacrifices are acknowledged, their stories are heard, and their healing journey is honored.

During Memorial Day Weekend, several Tennessee PGA Members orchestrated special events and activities to honor the memory of our fallen heroes while uplifting and empowering our veterans. Alex Cox, Chris Cauthen, and Jeremy Beachner exemplified extraordinary dedication in their support.

Alex Cox, Head Golf Professional at The Golf Club of Tennessee, orchestrated a charitable game on Memorial Day, with half of the entry fees directly benefiting PGA HOPE. Through this initiative, Mr. Cox and his team successfully raised over $1,100, a commendable effort that we deeply appreciate.

Chris Cauthen, Head Golf Professional at Westhaven Golf Club, spearheaded fundraising endeavors throughout the weekend, collecting donations for PGA HOPE and Folds of Honor. Westhaven Golf Club hosted three distinct fundraising activities, including a general donation drive, a thrilling “Beat the Pro” contest, and an engaging “Guess the Number of Golf Balls” competition. Mr. Cauthen and his team’s relentless commitment to supporting PGA HOPE and Folds of Honor is truly commendable.

Jeremy Beachner, Teaching Professional at Pine Oaks Golf Club, embarked on a remarkable fundraising endeavor, teeing off before dawn and playing over 200 holes of golf to raise funds for PGA HOPE and Folds of Honor. Mr. Beachner’s dedication, surpassing his previous feat of 100 holes in a day, exemplifies his deep commitment to serving our veterans and community. He said, “It’s just cool to see people’s faces light up when they say you’re doing what for what, and you get to explain it to them and you see how thrilled they are you’re doing something for the local community or for the veterans in our community”. TNPGA commemorates Mr. Beachner and all that he has done for PGA HOPE and Folds of Honor.
