ROLEX SENIOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR STANDINGS
The rankings didn’t see much movement after last week’s 54th Tennessee Professional Championship. Bill Breen (Nashville, TN) retains the top spot in the Rolex Senior Player of the Year standings as he’s put together three first place finishes this year. Last year’s Rolex Senior Player of the Year Jared Melson (Tullahoma, TN) will look to regain some ground after dropping to fourth. The Tennessee Senior PGA Professional Championship is a Level I event where the top-20 finishers will be awarded points ranging from 300 points to first and 12 points to twentieth. With a tight race at the top here is a look at the current top-10 heading into this week’s championship.
- Bill Breen (Harpeth Valley Golf Course) – 1,140
- Audie Johnson (Ted Rhodes Golf Course) – 905
- Glenn Hudson (Dick’s House of Sport) – 849
- Jared Melson (Bear Trace at Tims Ford) – 831

NOTES ON THE LIST OF COMPETITORS:
Defending champion Bobby Cochran (Germantown, TN) who won last year’s event at Council Fire Golf Club will look to go back-to-back. Cochran is coming off a T-5 performance at the 54th Tennessee Professional Championship two weeks ago. Bill Breen (Nashville, TN) has put together a strong campaign all season long. Breen has won two Senior Championships this year, the Players Championship and the Tennessee Senior State Open. In addition, Breen finished first among the senior division at the 54th Tennessee Professional Championship at Tennessee National. Breen will look to continue his dominant season and capture his first Tennessee Senior Professional Championship. Past Champions Mark Houser and Buddy Hartson are also in the field this year.
Action gets underway at 8:00 A.M. CT with a single tee starting off No. 1 tee during round one and starting off No. 10 tee for round two. Round one pairings are based on current Rolex Senior Player of the Year points and round two pairings will be based on score. A trophy presentation by the clubhouse will follow the final round of play.
