(Crossville, TN) – Monday morning brought early rain to Lake Tansi Golf Course as PGA Professionals and amateurs got ready to tee off for a two-day best ball event. A field of 34 teams and 136 total players competed for a total purse of $20,230.

In this event teams can be comprised of one TPGA Professional and three scratch amateurs or two Pros and two scratch amateurs. There is also an individual event for Regular Professionals, Senior Professionals, Regular Amateurs, and Senior Amateurs.

On day one, it was the team of Cody King, PGA, Jeff Houston, PGA, Bill Benson, and Hunter Stoneman that led the way, turning in a score of 60 (-12). They were able to card 7 straight birdies on holes two through eight. Right behind them at 11-under was the team of Braxton Hunter, PGA, Lee Whitehead, PGA, Tanner Davis, and Ken Mann. Three other teams also sat at 11-under after Monday’s nonstop rain.

Mother nature delivered perfect weather for day two, with blue skies and the sun shining down. Despite Hunter Stoneman’s clutch eagle on 18 of day two, it would not be enough to keep their lead and bring home 1st place. On day two, it was the team of Hunter, Whitehead, Davis, and Mann who put together an impressive round of 59 (-13) to take the lead. Hunter led the group with 6 birdies on the day, bringing him to a total of 16 birdies for the whole tournament.

Winners are Listed Below:
Team Event: Braxton Hunter, PGA, Lee Whitehead, PGA, Tanner Davis, Ken Mann (-24)
Regular Professional: Braxton Hunter, PGA (-13)
Senior Professional: Audie Johnson, PGA (-3)
Regular Amateur: Evan Woosley-Reed (-10)
