PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) introduces golf to Veterans as a tool to enhance physical, mental, and emotional ...well-being. Led by PGA Professionals, the program creates a supportive community where the game of golf serves as a powerful form of therapy and connection.

The Tennessee Section is proud to host PGA HOPE sessions across the state during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. No matter the season, we are dedicated to providing our heroes with a place to play, learn, and grow.

We’ve had a fantastic two days of competition at the Team Championship at Lake Tansi Golf Course.

History in the making! Today, the Tennessee PGA Section is honored as we sent our first team of PGA HOPE Graduates to compete in the PGA HOPE Secretary’s Cup.

Huge shoutout to the incredible Team Tennessee: Casey Willett, Angela Hammontree, Erik Dines, Shellie Smith, and Lamar Mills, ...PGA. You’ve made us all proud!

Thank you for representing our section and showing the world what this community is all about. Through the game of golf, PGA HOPE creates a social network for Veterans that changes lives and fosters a true sense of belonging.

The Tennessee PGA Section is proud to announce for FIRST time we will be sending a team to compete in the PGA HOPE Secretary’s Cup! We couldn’t be more proud of the team representing the Tennessee Section on the national stage.

Our final Team Tennessee PGA HOPE Secretary’s Cup ...Representative, Shellie Smith. Shellie served in the United States Army from 1989-1995. She was deployed to Kuwait in 1990 and spent her time there as a Black Hawk mechanic.
Shellie quickly realized it was so much more. She realized just how many Veterans are just like her and that she was not alone after all. Their simple decision to give the program a shot changed her complete outlook going forward.

We are honored to have her on the team as we head to the big stage! #pgahope
